Because I let the past control my actions and feelings, I am now in prison facing twenty years. But now that I have found God and let Him lead my life, I am a stronger and more confident woman.

S. K., Yuma, AZ – Recently I saw your address in a magazine and decided to write. This is my second time in prison. The difference this time is God. I came to Christ about a year ago and it has been a wonderful journey. The Lord is doing things in my life and it is awesome! My pastime now is learning God’s Word and living what I learn. I am also trying to get involved in a volunteer program in our unit for suicide prevention and counseling for inmates by inmates (I am only following and being obedient to the Lord and going where He sends me).

The “insights” at the end of each chapter were refreshing to my spirit and the self tests were great. The questions on page 10 are very good concerns and I will use them consistently to evaluate myself. I’ve learned a lot about faith, forgiveness, wisdom, and the power and love of God in this lesson.
