USE JESUS as YOUR INSPIRATION by Monica Edmonds

When Mary the Mother of Jesus had her baby boy there was no room for them in the inn. Can you imagine what Mary felt like when she was told “there is no room for you or your new born baby boy in the inn?” When you read what Jesus has been through his whole life - it is truly amazing. This is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords who has had to endure but overcame the impossible. Not only was he born for us but he also gave his life for us as well. We owe him our life and everything we have.

We often times look at ourselves and wonder if we can overcome. Use Jesus as your inspiration. When you seek Jesus you don’t have to seek any further because Jesus is the way. We should always remember what Jesus had to endure to keep us focused on his purpose in order to be guided into our own purpose. Just like Jesus he had a purpose for being on this earth and we have a purpose in serving him.

This is a time of year when a lot of emphasis is put on giving and receiving of gifts. If you are at a loss on what gift to give someone, give them the story of Jesus Christ.
Jesus was conceived supernaturally and was born to the parents of Mary and Joseph. He guided three wise men by a ‘star in the east’ and had a price put on his head marked for “death” while still days old. He preached the gospel, turned water into wine, healed the sick, cast out demons, made the lame walk and he raised the dead. He helped fishermen catch fish, he encouraged a man to walk on water, “Jesus did walk on water,” he made a woman with an issue of blood whole when she touched his garment, he spoke in parables, and he calmed the rushing seas by just saying “peace be still”. He fed thousands with little, he was crucified on the cross and he gave his life for us all. That’s just the tip of the iceberg of who Jesus is. He is grace, mercy, love, kindness, comforter and He is faithful. He is a wonderful counsellor who loves his children regardless of our past because he holds our future. He is often called: Creator of all things, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Great I am, Father of Heaven and earth, Carpenter, Chosen, Author, Ancient of days, Deliverer, the Eternal Judge, and the Finisher of our faith. He is the Alpha and Omega.

Until next time “Use Jesus as your Inspiration”
