LEARN to PROPHECY OVER YOUR SITUATION by Monica Edmonds

In Ezekiel 37, God tells Ezekiel the Prophet to prophecy over a dry and dead situation. As Ezekiel began to prophecy, he saw bones that was dry and with no life. Ezekiel also knew that God was speaking to him and only God had the power to bring those bones back to life. As Ezekiel was commanded, he began to speak prophecy over those dry bones. As those bones began to shake and come together, sinews and flesh began to form upon them, and skin began to cover those dry bones. Ezekiel noticed after all that the bones were still dead with no life. God continued to encourage Ezekiel to speak life into those dry bones. Ezekiel spoke breath into those bones until they stood to their feet and created an exceeding great army. What dry bone circumstance are you facing that you need to prophecy over? God encourages us daily through his word to speak with his authority and turn a dry bone situation into an exceeding great army.

Christians we must never forget who our “Father” is. If you live long enough you will have a dry bone situation enter your life but God says we don’t have to continue to live in that state day after day. We have the ability through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to change any situation by prophesying Gods word and declaring victory. The word tells us in Proverbs 18:21, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
I know sometimes we look at certain things in life assuming that it is a part of life and we have no way of changing our circumstances but we have another option because of who we are in Christ, and that is to speak with our God given authority. I have met a few people who live their days in defeat simply because of the limitations they have placed on God’s word.

One major lesson we can learn from Ezekiel is not to speak what the circumstances try to dictate but to speak what God’s word says with confidence. We sometimes think prophesying is only for Preachers and Pastors but God encourages us to use his word to change our circumstances and speak victory into existence. God has given his people much authority in different areas of ministry and His desire for us is to be equipped and use the tools provided to us to spiritually succeed.

I encourage each and every one reading this article to begin to prophecy over their situation and I guarantee God will reveal himself in a way you have never seen before. God wants to show up and show out in our circumstances. God also wants us to be amazed at his abilities and power.

Until next time, “Prophecy over Your Situation”
